Page 1: Privacy Notice & Demographic Data Collection
What data are we collecting?
This first page contains a list of demographic questions. These questions are optional, and you do not have to complete them in order to complete the survey.
The data you provide will only be used for the purpose outlined below and stored by the RCGP in compliance with all relevant Data Protection laws. This survey is designed with, and hosted by, Online surveys (run by Jisc). Online surveys is fully compliant with all UK data protection laws and details on the way they store and process the data you provide can be found here: https://www.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/terms-and-conditions/
The results from this survey will be used to evaluate the prescribing assessment only. This survey will not be used to evaluate or assess you as a trainee or the progress you are making in the training programme.
We need to demonstrate that the prescribing assessment is reasonable and fair and that it is possible for all trainees to complete, regardless of their demographics, training location or primary medical qualification. The data collected in Part 1 (Demographic Data Collection), combined with the responses to Part 2 (Prescribing Assessment: Questionnaire) will be used to demonstrate this.
The collection of error rates in Part 2 is similarly to allow for comparison with results from other studies and help support the validity of the assessment. Picking up errors and reflecting on them is a positive thing and there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ number of errors.
